SOAR Benefit Specialist will assist adults with completing SSI/SSDI applications using the SOAR model.

The Bilingual SOAR Specialist will work with referral sources to identify applicants and submit complete SSI/SSDI applications using the SOAR model.

The SOAR Benefits Specialist will assist individuals in applying for Social Security disability benefits and must be able to work in the community and be comfortable meeting displaced individuals where they are. This position requires at least 2 years of experience working directly with displaced individuals who have a serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.

The SOAR Paralegal will be responsible for assisting people experiencing housing instability with accessing Social Security disability benefits. The SOAR Paralegal will work as part of an interdisciplinary team that supports families by coordinating direct services to clients, as well as providing training and education to public health partners and engaging in systemic advocacy activities. This is a hybrid position which will involve working remotely from home as well as working from our office in Eddystone, PA. Additionally, the SOAR Paralegal will meet with partners and clients in the community regularly.

The Disability Assistance Outreach Specialist submits SSI/SSDI applications using the SOAR model for severely, chronically mentally ill individuals who are experiencing homelessness in Baltimore City. The Disability Assistance Outreach Specialist will work together with a multidisciplinary and multiagency team to identify, assess, engage, and assist individuals experiencing homelessness through the federal disability application process. Outreach efforts focus on clients with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders who are living on the streets and in shelters in Baltimore City.
