Viewing Videos in the SOAR Online Course

Viewing Options

1. Within the Course: 

• Click on the Play button that appears in the center of the video. 
• Don't see the Play button? Hover your mouse over the video.

2. On YouTube: ​

• Click on the YouTube icon at the bottom right of the video.

• A new tab will open in your Internet browser and the video will begin to play on www.youtube.com.
• Don't see a YouTube icon?  You may have to begin playing the video for this option to appear.

Troubleshooting and Accessibility

Slow Computer or Internet connection?

• Click on the Gear Shift/Setting icon at the bottom right of the video (see image above).
• Select Quality and Choose 144p.
• This will play the video at a lower resolution and is the best for slow or unreliable internet connections.

Closed Captioning:

• Closed Captioning should automatically appear on these videos.  
• If it does not, click "cc" at the bottom right of the video (see image above).

Transcript:

• This is available when viewing the video on YouTube.
• To view a running transcript, click on "...More" and select "Transcript."
